FAQ

Having trouble using MyLondonBus - no fear, the questions below should help you fix any problems.  If not, contact me and I'll do my best to help.

#1 Why can I only save one favourite route?

MyLondonBus only allows one route to be selected as favourite in the free version of the app, use the upgrade button inside the app to unlock the ability to save multiple favourites.

#2 When I restart MyLondonBus, my colour scheme and font selection are set back to default values, why?

Again the ability to save some settings, including these two depends on you upgrading to the full version of MyLondonBus by clicking the 'Full Version Upgrade' button inside the app.

#3 What does 'Up to 15 non-favourite routes' mean?

Some older iPhones experience a slow scrolling experience when showing lots of routes - this setting allows the number of routes to be limited (if available, your favourite routes will always be shown) so that performance can be controlled more tightly by the user.  Performance enhancements are under development and will hopefully make it into the final product soon.

#4 What is 'Outside of London Demo'?

This is a feature of MyLondonBus that helps users outside of London evaluate the app.  Tourists thinking of visiting London may find this mode useful - it automatically activates once your location is determined to be outside of the greater london region.  Upon activation the app responds as if the user is standing outside buckingham palace.

#5 I've upgraded to the full version but I still see adverts and upgrade buttons, what should I do to restore my upgrade?

This is most likely caused by a failure to save your purchase - hit the 'Restore' button, and your upgrade will be reactivated at no additional cost.  A check will be performed to ensure you have purchased the app previously.
